Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager / Senior Manager – Legal (Litigation) to lead and manage all litigation matters related to the organization. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in handling civil, criminal, consumer, revenue, and real estate litigation, coordinating with external counsels, and providing strategic legal guidance to management. The role requires extensive experience in the real estate sector and the ability to effectively manage legal risks while ensuring timely resolution of disputes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all litigation matters including civil, criminal, consumer, revenue, police complaints, recovery proceedings, writ petitions, SLPs, and other legal disputes.
• Draft, review, and vet legal notices, replies, petitions, plaints, written statements, affidavits, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Coordinate with and brief external advocates on case strategies and ensure effective representation before courts, tribunals, and government authorities.
• Monitor and follow up on ongoing litigation cases to ensure timely hearings and case progress.
• Maintain a comprehensive litigation tracker, MIS reports, and legal documentation for all active and closed cases.
• Conduct detailed legal research and provide legal opinions on matters relating to ongoing and potential litigation.
• Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization's interests.
• Advise management on legal implications of business decisions and recommend appropriate courses of action.
• Coordinate with internal business teams to collect documents, evidence, and case-related information.
• Ensure compliance with court orders, statutory requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Attend court proceedings, meetings with government authorities, police departments, and regulatory bodies whenever required.
• Review litigation progress with legal teams, external counsels, and business stakeholders on a periodic basis.
• Support dispute resolution through negotiations, mediation, and settlements wherever feasible.
• Stay updated with changes in laws, regulations, and judicial precedents related to the real estate sector.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, civil and criminal laws, consumer laws, and real estate laws.
• Excellent drafting, legal research, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to independently handle multiple litigation matters simultaneously.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation management.

Mandatory Requirements

• LL.B. from a recognized university.
• 8–14 years of litigation experience, with significant exposure to the Real Estate industry.
• Experience in handling litigation matters independently is mandatory.
• Kannada language proficiency (Reading, Writing & Speaking) is mandatory.
• Strong exposure to courts, tribunals, government authorities, and police matters.
• Age between 40–42 years.
