  • Role: Senior RTCDP Developer
  • Location: Bangalore, Hybrid
  • Experience Required: 5+

Role Overview

This role is for a CDP specialist who understands the full lifecycle of audience data, from identity resolution and profile unification through to segmentation, activation, and publishing across downstream networks. The ideal candidate brings prior experience with a Data Management Platform or CDP and can independently own RTCDP use case delivery end to end within AEP.

Relevant Backgrounds

Candidates may come from any of the following areas:

  • Adobe Audience Manager or Oracle BlueKai roles with hands on experience managing traits, segments, destinations, and audience syndication across advertising and publishing networks.
  • CDP roles involving profile unification, audience building, and activation to paid media, email, or onsite personalisation destinations.
  • Data or Audience Platform roles in a Martech or AdTech environment where audience sharing, identity resolution, and destination management were core responsibilities.
  • AEP implementation roles with direct involvement in RTCDP configuration, profile management, and activation workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build RTCDP use cases end to end, from ingestion and identity resolution through to segmentation and activation across publishing and media networks.
  • Configure and manage AEP Identity Namespaces, Identity Graphs, and Merge Rules to ensure accurate and consistent profile unification across devices and channels.
  • Define and apply Profile Merge Policies and Graph Unlink Rules to control how identities are associated, merged, or separated based on business and governance requirements.
  • Build and manage audience segments using all available RTCDP segmentation types including batch segmentation, streaming segmentation, and edge segmentation, selecting the right approach for each use case.
  • Configure and manage Destinations across paid media networks, DSPs, social platforms, advertising clouds, and clean room environments, with a strong understanding of activation nuances for each destination type.
  • Manage audience publishing workflows including payload structure, identity mapping at activation, segment membership exports, and profile attribute enrichment for downstream consumption.
  • Understand and apply the nuances of activation including profile export frequency, incremental versus full audience exports, identity resolution at the edge, and destination specific identity requirements.
  • Work with Data Architects and Data Engineers to ensure ingested data supports the identity and segmentation requirements of RTCDP use cases.
  • Apply data governance controls including DULE labels and consent policies to ensure audiences are activated in a compliant manner.
  • Troubleshoot profile fragmentation, segment qualification issues, identity graph anomalies, and activation failures across destinations.
  • Document RTCDP use cases, segment definitions, merge policy configurations, and activation workflows for business and technical audiences.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Hands on experience with Adobe Audience Manager, Oracle BlueKai, or a comparable DMP or CDP platform with strong understanding of audience lifecycle management.
  • Deep working knowledge of RTCDP including Real Time Customer Profile, Identity Service, Merge Policies, and the Identity Graph.
  • Practical experience configuring Identity Namespaces, defining Merge Rules, and applying Graph Unlink Rules to manage profile integrity.
  • Strong understanding of all RTCDP segmentation types, batch, streaming, and edge, including qualification rules, lookback windows, and use case fit for each.
  • Proven experience configuring and managing Destinations including paid social, programmatic, advertising networks, and CRM based destinations with awareness of identity mapping requirements at activation.
  • Understanding of audience syndication and publishing mechanics including how segments are shared with networks, frequency of updates, and downstream identity matching.
  • Familiarity with AEP data governance including DULE labels, consent frameworks, and marketing action restrictions applied to activation.
  • Ability to read XDM schema structures and understand how profile attributes and experience event data feed into segment definitions and activation payloads.
  • Experience troubleshooting identity graph issues, segment membership gaps, and destination activation failures.
